LOS ANGELES (AP) - Detectives of the Sheriff of Los Angeles are checking allegations of extortion against Gibson ex-girlfriend.
The sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said the agency is investigating whether Oksana Grigorieva Russian singer may have attempted to extort the Academy Award-winner. He declined to give any other details about the investigation.

Grigorieva A spokesman declined to comment Wednesday.
Gibson Grigorieva and are locked in a custody dispute over their bitter baby.
